I NEVER SWEAT, EVEN IN THIS OUTFIT

- BY RHEANA MURRAY and LINDSAY GOLDWERT

EVEN AS she sprints through India in the scorching summertime, Hillary Clinton doesn’t break a sweat — she doesn’t even glisten.

It’s a bizarre quirk about the secretary of state that is well known among her staffers and friends. When everyone around her is sweating buckets, she’s cool and dry.

“There’s been a fair amount of commentary about that,” in Hillary circles, one Clinton associate told the Daily News.

No one quite knows the reason, the associate said, “and yet it is true.”

Clinton’s sweatlessness was revealed Friday by Conde Nast Traveler in a feature on 12 visionaries and their travel secrets.

Mayor Bloomberg was also included in the story and revealed his own travel quirks: He always packs shirts from the left, his ties from the right and always packs rubber bands — which he says are useful — and chargers for his iPhone and for the GPS watch he uses on the golf course.

Conde Nast reporter Kevin Doyle wrote that he observed Clinton’s lack of perspiration on a nine-day trip with her through China, Bang- ladesh and India early in May.

On the last day of Doyle’s trip, he writes that he met Clinton for a photo shoot at Humayun’s tomb in New Delhi.

“It was 95,” he wrote. “Her staff, the photo crew, and I were wilting in the heat. But as she headed to the next meeting on her schedule, Hillary Clinton looked every bit as cool as that white marble dome.”

There are a number of reasons why some people sweat more than others, says Dr. Kenneth Williams, an Irvine, Calif.-based surgeon who treats patients with sweating issues.

Older women may experience a small drops in their core body temperature after menopause. There are a few medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism, that cause sufferers to feel constantly chilly.

On the flip side, stress and anxiety may trigger the nervous system to produce more sweat.

“Hillary may just manage to stay calm, cool and collected, when her colleagues aren’t,” he said.
