Gigi Jordan’s tale of sex abuse, conspiracy
know about Mirra’s close ties to the ruthless Philadelphia mob with whom, she alleges, he was secretly involved in a massive black market racket for HIV and hemophiliac prescription drugs through his company, Melville, L.I.-based Allion Healthcare.
Mirra’s lawyer has publicly denied all of these claims, which were made in a civil suit Jordan filed against her ex earlier this year. The suit was stayed at the behest of the Manhattan prosecutors, who argued that Mirra is a material witness in Jordan’s murder case.
“I sure hope the prosecution calls Mirra,” says Murphy, “because I sure will. We’ll get him to tell us all about Allion Healthcare and we’ll see if my client sounds insane after we examine all of that.”
Last month, the New York State attorney general accused four defendants of peddling $274 million worth of outdated, contaminated or diluted black-market HIV drugs through Allionowned MOMS Pharmacies.
Mirra has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
In 2001, Jordan, then 39, separated from Mirra, met Emil Tzekov, a Bulgarian yoga instructor, at her Manhattan gym and together they conceived Jude.
Tzekov relinquished legal parental rights to Jude, whom Jordan claims was misdiagnosed as autistic. She says Jude suffered from emotional problems that a series of the nation’s best doctors couldn’t pinpoint. Still, Tzekov continued to see Jude from time to time. Then, Mirra, who was still Jordan’s husband and business partner, legally adopted Jude. Mirra and Jordan divorced in November 2001. Six days later, she married Tzekov, even though Mirra was Jude’s legally adoptive father. Jordan divorced Tzekov in 2006.
Echoing what she has said in court filings, Jordan claimed, “When Jude was old enough to communicate, he informed me that his father had been sexually abusing him since he was a baby. The horrific trauma was the cause of Jude’s emotional and developmental problems. I went to law enforcement officials in three states. I couldn’t get anyone to prosecute his biological father.”
In fact, Jude was briefly taken from Jordan twice by authorities as they investigated.
Tzekov has vehemently denied Jordan’s accusations and last year told the Daily News, “It’s clear to me that she was totally insane. It doesn’t make any sense. . . . The police know better. They talked to me afterward. They know it’s not true.”
NYPD sources confirmed at the time that there was no proof of molestation and Tzekov has not been charged with any crime.
“I asked Ray (Mirra) to help me,” Jordan says. “He was indifferent to Jude. I soon realized he’d only adopted him so that he could put certain trusts in the boy’s name to shield himself. Instead of protecting Jude, he hired Emil (Tzekov) to drive me crazy after I’d also discovered Ray was looting me, forging millions in bank transfers and withdrawals from my banks. By hiring Emil, he was trying to drive me into a nervous breakdown.”
Jordan says she can prove that Mirra is also involved in an even grander prescription drug scam.
“That $274 million involving Allion is just the tip of the iceberg,” Jordan claims. “The black market hemophilia drug operation Ray’s involved in brings in billions a year. He knew that I knew what he was doing and so he needed to neutralize me.”
