THEY TRIED to make her go to rehab, but she said, “No, no, no.”

Hard-partying Lindsay Lohan fended off an attempted intervention by her father Friday, calling the cops to her Beverly Hills home before concerned supporters could even start the sit-down.

“Her team and I staged an intervention, but she resisted,” Michael Lohan told the Daily News.

Michael showed up at his daughter’s door around 4:40 p.m. with several others who planned to urge the troubled star to go into treatment.

But Lohan called the cops, leading the party to abandon its attempt to help her.

“I tried. I did what I could. And I’m not going to stop trying,” Michael said.

A source said that several member’s of Lohan’s team of professional reps were on board with getting her help.

Lohan’s boy toy, a Los Angeles personal trainer named Josh Chunn, also approved of the intervention, according to Radar Online.

“He told me, ‘I feel the same way you do. I can’t take it. They’re destroying her life,’ ” Michael told the site, referring to Chunn.

“When we were leaving she threw Josh out and we picked him up in the car and he spilled the beans about everything she is doing.”

He added, “I’m not going to stand for this anymore. She has to get better. I’m not going to watch my daughter die.

Lohan, 26, has failed to show up for promotional work tied to her upcoming movie, “The Canyons,” leading some to believe her life is spiraling out of control, according to TMZ.

Michael lamented to the site that his daughter was hanging with a bad crowd, and described her enablers as “a bunch of alcoholics and drug ad- dicts.”

“I’m upset,” he told The News about the bungled rescue. He expressed frustration that he could not force her to get help. “You can't do that with an adult. They have to want to go.”

This is the second time the police have gotten involved in a Lohan family affair this month.

On Oct. 10 Nassau County police were called to the North Merrick, L.I., home of her mother, Dina Lohan, following a heated argument between the “Mean Girls” star and her mom while they were driving from Manhattan.

Lohan cut her leg when a diamond bracelet was broken in the fight over where she would crash that evening, a source told The News at the time.

The dispute also involved a $40,000 loan Lohan had made to her mom, the source said.

As if that weren’t enough to handle for the tabloid princess, a 21-yearold woman pleaded no contest Friday in Los Angeles court to breaking into several celebrities’ homes, including Lo

han’s.
