ALTERNATE-SIDE PARKING

IS SUSPENDED ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

lThe MS Bike Tour sprawls 100 miles of Manhattan from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with rolling closures for the following streets as well as others: Henry Hudson Parkway southbound between W. 56th and West Sts., Riverside Drive southbound between Seaman Ave. and Henry Hudson Parkway, FDR Drive northbound between Battery Park Underpass and Harlem River Drive, West St. between W. 54th St. and the Battery Park Underpass, the Battery Park Underpass between West St. and FDR Drive, Riverside Drive between W. 165th and W. 72nd Sts. and the Triborouigh Bridge.

A carnival closes Broadway between 47th and 57th Sts. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

At MetLife Stadium, the Giants battle the Redskins at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge will be jammed pre- and postgame.

Showdown on the island! The Knicks and Nets travel to the Nassau Coliseum for a game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Even though it’s preseason, I’m predicting a large crowd, so watch for extra traffic on the northbound and southbound Meadowbrook Parkway (exit M4) and on Hempstead Turnpike.

On Monday, a 7:30 p.m. Rush concert at Barclays Center will bring vintage rock fans to downtown Brooklyn and jam up Atlantic and Flatbush Aves. Take mass transit! And if you have to drive, don’t head to the Brooklyn Bridge after 10:30 p.m.; it will be closed to Manhattan until 6 a.m. through Thursday. Fast- rack repairs will close the Eighth Ave. A,C and E line between 59th St.-Columbus Circle stop and Jay St.-MetroTech in Brooklyn and the World Trade Center station (in both directions) for four consecutive weeknights 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

FROM THE MAILBAG:

Dear Gridlock Sam, We’re planning a celebration for Marathon Sunday (Nov. 4) scheduled for 5 p.m. on E. 62nd St. between Fifth and Madison Aves. Will there be access to 62nd St. from Fifth Ave.? And from what time? Also, what’s the best route for people on the West Side to take across town? What is the best route for people from Brooklyn to take? What is the best route for people from New Jersey to take?

Elana, New York

Dear Elana,

Yes, there will be access to 62nd St. from Fifth Ave. But Fifth Ave. will be closed from 138th to 86th Sts. For other concerns about Marathon Sunday, please go to my website at www.gridlocksam.com/, where I’ve published information regarding the route map, street closures (and time of closures) and other tips for that day.
