Manhattan. Devin (at left in photo), 48, and Bruce, 63, were on the edge of their seats in their Hell’s Kitchen apartment as gay marriage passed in the state legislature.

For Devin, it was an emotional moment, but for Bruce, it was the perfect time to pop the question.

“He came up behind me, gave me a big hug and said, ‘You’re going to marry me, right?’” remembers Devin, who works in men’s wear design and development. “I was crying so hard I was just shaking my head.”

Devin first reached out to Bruce online in March 2005, and a month later they had their first date, at a steakhouse.

“He seemed so young! There’s a generation difference between us,” says Bruce, the chief digital and information officer at McGraw-Hill. “But, we had a common view. I was like, ‘This guy gets me.’ ”

However, things didn’t get serious until Bruce asked Devin to take care of his parents while he was away in India.

“I tried to give him the key back,” Devin laughs. “It was the little hook that kept me coming back.”

The grooms said “I do” on the rooftop lounge of Upstairs at the Kimberly Hotel for their intimate fall wedding.

“Having the Chrysler Building in the background of the wedding was incredible,” Devin reminisces. “The theme was the New York skyline.”

Big Apple touches were threaded throughout the celebration from an apple-shaped blown sugar cake topper to Broadway singers belting out tunes.

“Halfway through the ceremony, we had two actual Broadway singers do the music before our vows,” Devin explains. “But, Bruce didn’t know I had been working with them to come back during the reception to do a Broadway medley.”

The singers started off with “An Old Fashioned Wedding” from “Annie Get Your Gun” and ended with “I Got Rhythm” from “Girl Crazy.”

“I was surprised,” Bruce says. “I wasn’t expecting a Broadway concert. I loved it.”
