Bridge scandal takes its toll

Bloomfield, N.J.: Gov. Christie’s petty political-vendetta games delayed not only thousands of kids in getting to school, but also ambulance crews trying to save the lives of four people, at least one of whom died. It was Christie’s childhood buddy David Wildstein and his top aide Bridget Kelly who directed the traffic jam. These are the facts, and criminally negligent homicide is a crime. Investigate this thug of a former prosecutor. Suppose Occupy Fort Lee had blocked traffic to the GWB for days. Republicans would have been all over them — and there definitely would have been arrests, charges and jail sentences. J. Andrew Smith Ozone Park: A perfect speech by the emperor with no clothes, who was surrounded by aides who thought they could cover this up. Kudos to Gov. Christie for owning up to the misdeeds of his staff. All of their emails should be reviewed by an independent ombudsman.
