Education begins at home
Whitestone: If I remember correctly, Mayor de Blasio, my two pre-kindergarten daughters enjoyed playing their very own way. We purchased blocks for them to build houses, dolls to dress and toy autos to race. Teaching them the alphabet was something of a challenge, but we were up to this daunting task — and ultimately succeeded. Eventually, they learned to identify simple words. Parents, when motivated, certainly can teach pre-kidergartners facts about the world they inhabit. Satisfaction all around is guaranteed. Their children will be quite ready for kindergarten.
