Brooklyn: There is a drive to raise minimum wage to $9 per hour (“Let’s maximize the minimum wage,” Jan. 5). Sounds good. But what happens to people who now get paid $9 per hour? Leaving them at minimum wage would not be fair, right? They should get $11.50 now. Wait! The people getting $11.50 per hour now will rightfully demand more. Soon, we’ll be back where we started.
