‘Raze’

This ugly, idiotic actioner doesn’t know if it wants to be fun or grim. It winds up deplorable exploitation. A woman (Zoë Bell) is kidnapped and forced to fight and kill other female prisoners in an underground arena. The combatants are told their loved ones will die if they don’t comply. While the brawls are athletically impressive, they’re more harsh than dazzling. After much bloodshed (and bad acting), there’s halfbaked feminist speechifying. Please. Action fans should run from “Raze.”
