Jean King, “She Is King.” The show weaves together live performance and vintage footage of TV interviews with King. The project, in development for two years, hits New York just weeks after President Obama picked the openly gay tennis and equal- rights champion to represent the U.S. at the Olympics. “Billie Jean King’s recent media attention speaks to her continued influence and the work she’s done over the last 40 years, ”Husiak says.
