Clemson rolls past Duke

CLEMSON, S.C. — K.J. McDaniels scored 24 points and Jaron Blossomgam­e had career highs with 14 points and 14 rebounds as Clemson defeated No. 16 Duke, 72-59, Saturday, the Blue Devils second straight Atlantic Coast Conference road loss.

Duke (12-4, 1-2) led 36-26 late in the first half before the Tigers (11-4, 2-1) put together a 37-18 run over the next 14 minutes to take control.

SYRACUSE 57, N. CAROLINA 45: C.J. Fair scored 20 points, Jerami Grant had 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and the No. 2 Orange (16-0, 3-0) beat the visitin Tar Heels (10-6, 0-3) in an ACC marquee matchup.

MICHIGAN ST. 87, MINNESOTA 75 (OT): Keith Appling scored 24 points to help the No. 5 Spartans (15-1, 4-0) beat the visiting Gophers (134, 2-2) in overtime after overcoming a double-digit deficit in the second half and blowing a lead late in regulation.

OKLAHOMA 87, IOWA STAT E 82 : Buddy Hield scored 22 points and Ryan Spangler added 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to help the Sooners (13-3, 2-1 Big 12) knock off the previously unbeaten Cyclones (14-1, 2-1).

MARQUETTE 67, SETON HALL 66: Todd Mayo scored 19 points, Jamil Wilson added 16 and the Golden Eagles (10-7, 2-2 Big East) nearly let a double-digit lead slip away before holding off the Pirates (107, 1-3) in Milwaukee.

WAGNER 84, LIU BROOKLYN 70: Naofall Folahan’s three-point play with 12 minutes left gave host Wagner (8-7, 2-0) a lead it never relinquish­ed and sparked a 14-2 run to seal a win over threetime defending Northeast Conference champion Long Island-Brooklyn (5-10, 1-1).

MT. ST. MARY’S 88, ST. FRANCIS (N.Y.) 82: Julian Norfleet scored 24 points and Rashad Whack had 18 as host Mount St. Mary’s (5-10, 1-1) NEC held off St. Francis (107, 1-1) despite 25 points from Jalen Cannon and 15 points and 10 rebounds from Anthony White.

CINCINNATI 71, RUTGERS 51: Freshman point guard Troy Caupain scored 14 points, and the host Bearcats (15-2, 4-0 American Athletic) overcame foul trouble while pulling away for a victory over Rutgers (7-9, 1-2).
