Ravit Ackerman & David Kurot

- A.B.

Atlantic Beach, L.I. Their courtship was plucked straight from a rom-com script.

Ravit first went to David’s house to go on a date with his friend — but these two nursing students were meant for each other all along.

Fortunately, David got his friend’s blessing a month later, and met up with Ravit, himself.

On their first date, they watched “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” — which stopped working halfway through. They talked the night away instead. “We’ve never seen the ending,” admits Ravit. “We’ve been inseparable ever since.”

Ravit, 27, a self-described “control freak,” took the reins and proposed in 2009. She booked a romantic getaway at the Cove Haven Resort in the Poconos, and popped the question in their swanky hotel room, which included a heartshaped Jacuzzi.

But David, 28, had some touching tricks up his sleeve, too. “I was already thinking about it before she asked me,” he says.

After they picked up Ravit’s engagement ring, he took her to a gazebo in West Hempstead’s Hall Pond’s Park and read a poem before asking for her hand in return.

“It was like we were competing for who had the best proposal,” Ravit laughs.

The Oceanside couple wed before 150 guests at The Sands in Atlantic Beach. Ravit had relatives fly in from Israel for the family affair.

The lovebirds locked eyes while the bride was walking down the aisle. “My life flashed before my eyes,” she says. “It just reminded me of why I’m with him, and why I want to spend the rest of my life with him.”
