Rosa stays out of sight
DISGRACED politician Gabriela Rosa kept a low profile a day after admitting she married a man for his citizenship. There was no sign of the 47-year-old former Assembly member at her Washington Heights high-rise, where she returned from court Friday.
Rosa pleaded guilty to a sham 1996 marriage, a ploy to win her legal permanent residence status in the U.S. The native of the Dominican Republic paid $8,000 for her marriage of convenience. Her guilty plea in Manhattan Federal Court required the first-term pol to resign from the state Assembly. She faces 12 to 18 months in prison, but could receive probation.
