Hit-run kills man by bar

HE WENT from last call to his last breath — tragically cut down by a heartless hit-and-run driver seconds after walking out of a Brooklynba­r.

Bryan Loughran, 32, had just left the Gather Inn Again in Gerritsen Beachand wascrossin­g thestreet to his car about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when a white Chrysler minivan speeding south on Gerritsen Ave. veered across the yellow lines and hit him. The impact threw him several yards onto a grassy area near Everett Ave. and the driver sped off. Emergency responders rushed Loughran (inset) to Beth Israel Medical Center on Kings Highway, but he could notbe saved.

Investigat­ors found the minivan a half mile away on Frank Court, officials said, its windshield smashedin and a headlight missing. Cops caught up with Michael Casale, 50, at his home in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, about 5 a.m. He was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and aggravated un licensed operation of a vehicle.

“He was taking his friend home and that’s when the minivan hit him,” said the victim’s devastated father, Raymond Loughran.

Bryan Loughran graduated Brooklyn College and worked for AIG in Manhattan. “He loved the Rangers and the Yankees,” said cousin Colleen Loughran. “Everyone in the neighborho­od loved him. We’reall his family.”
