ANN COULTER

Typically the views and opinions of a political pundit are of no interest to this space. We could not care less if Ann Coulter (or anyone else) leans left, right, north, or south. But her ridiculous anti-soccer rant this week was both disturbing and surreal. Coulter said any “growing interest” in soccer “can only be a sign of the nation’s moral decay.” Coulter: “No American whose greatgrandfather was born here is watching soccer.” She obviously doesn’t know the ancestors of MLS founders arrived here on the Mayflower. Just kidding. Anyway, the timing of her screed was another attempt to promote her brand. That is Coulter’s ultimate Goo oooooooooooooooooooaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll!
