DNA from a strand of hair a woman pulled off her armed intruder’s beard has led to an arrest in a year-old upstate New York burglary, Oneida County police said.

Leon Tennant, 54, who police say busted into his victim’s Vienna home while wielding a knife, was charged with burglary for the Dec. 20, 2013 crime, authorities said. The hair the victim yanked off his beard before he fled was sent to a state police lab for DNA testing.
