Victim kin: Deadly fall accidental
A RELATIVE of the 66-year-old woman who died Friday after plummeting from a SoHo apartment building believes the victim had an accidental fall.
The relative, who did not want to be named, was in the 11th-floor apartment on Greene St. when the victim tragically plunged from a window to the street below but did not witness what happened.
The Daily News is withholding the victim’s name at the family’s request.
Police said Saturday that the death Friday afternoon appears to be a suicide based on their initial investigation.
Later Friday, another woman plunged to her death from her home on the 20th floor of a luxury building in the Financial District in an apparent suicide. The 44-year-old woman landed near the corner of Broad and Wall Sts. about 10:15 p.m.
Police have not released her name pending family notification.
