STUFF TO WATCH

-

SUNDAY

9 p.m. (Ch. 2) The Mentalist Morena Baccarin (“Homeland”) returns as Erica Flynn, an opponent Jane (Simon Baker) knows all too well, in the new episode “Orange Blossom Ice Cream.” Jane and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) head for Beirut to enlist her help in locating her terrorist-connected boyfriend, but she wants amnesty for her crimes before she’ll assist them. Tim Kang, Rockmond Dunbar and Josie Loren also star.

MONDAY

10 p.m. (Ch. 7) Castle You wouldn’t expect Castle and Becket’s (Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic) wedding to go off without a hitch, would you? Last season’s finale confirmed that it wouldn’t, and plenty of loose ends remained as the mystery series started season seven with “Driven.” For one not-minor thing, where exactly is Castle after that car crash?

TUESDAY

8 p.m. (Ch. 2) NCIS There’s never a good time for the Internet to go haywire, but December is particularly bad for it. The new episode “House Rules” finds cyberterrorists engineering a crisis at the peak of the holidays, with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and company trying to get to the bottom of it.

WEDNESDAY

8 p.m. (Ch. 4) Michael Bublé’s Christmas in New York Barbra Streisand is quite a guest to land for a special, and fellow Grammy winner Bublé achieves it with his fourth annual celebration of the season. The tunes range from the classic (“I’ll Be Home for Christmas”) to the more contemporary (“All I Want for Christmas Is You”).

THURSDAY

9:30 p.m. (Ch. 2) The McCarthys Alyson Hannigan had a place on CBS for almost a decade as Lily on “How I Met Your Mother,” and she returns as the title family’s tenant in the new episode “Red Sox Swap.” She’s invited to join the McCarthys for Christmas, in a bid to help her heal from a just-ended romance, and she gets caught up in their highly competitive gift-exchange tradition.

FRIDAY

9 p.m. (Ch. 2) A Home for the Holidays The annual special mixing musical performances and stories of adoption features Jennifer Hudson, Train, Rixton, Katharine McPhee — who’s sung only fleetingly in her regular role on “Scorpion” — and Earth, Wind & Fire among the headliners. Two families from Los Angeles and one from Birmingham, Ala., are among those showcased in the informational segments. Ashley Monroe, Jillian Michaels and Dan & Shay also appear.

SATURDAY

9 p.m. (Ch. 5) Sleepy Hollow Benjamin Franklin (guest star Timothy Busfield) is drawn into Ichabod and Abbie’s (Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie) plan to save Katrina (Katia Winter) from the Headless Horseman in “The Kindred.” The scheme involves a being not unlike Dr. Frankenstein’s synthetic man, this one created by Franklin. Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) and the new sheriff get off on the wrong foot with each other.
