EBENEZER SAMUEL’S MOCK DRAFT 2015

-

The first round of the NFL draft is April 30, so every Thursday until then, the Daily News’ Ebenezer Samuel will predict the Top 10. Here’s the latest installment:

1. Buccaneers Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State

What, the early-March, pre-free agency meeting with Winston didn’t convince you? Bucs owner Joel Glazer’s comments about being “comfortable” with Winston should.

2. Titans

Leonard Williams, DT, USC

Could San Diego jump up here? The Bolts are working out Marcus Mariota, after all, and Philip Rivers still has no extension. But if Tennessee keeps this pick, Williams is its best option.

3. Jaguars Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida

West Virginia WR Kevin White is a nice fit, but with free agency winding down, the Jags have filled all their needs except for pass rusher.

4. Raiders Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

You know Oakland’s getting Derek Carr a weapon, and White has more upside than Alabama’s Amari Cooper.

5. Washington Vic Beasley, OLB/DE, Clemson

This pick has to be a pass rusher, and Beasley’s athletic ability gives him the edge over Missouri's Shane Ray.

6. Jets Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

Mariota’s going here, but not to Gang Green. Jet brass doesn’t seem sold, so watch it trade down (Saints? Chargers?) with a pass rusher in mind.

7. Bears Danny Shelton, DT, Washington

The Ray McDonald signing helps the D-line, but Chicago still needs that space-eater in the middle. Perfect fit here.

8. Falcons Shane Ray, OLB/DE, Missouri

Ray is undersized, but that shouldn’t be a problem for Dan Quinn, who turned Bruce Irvin into a force in Seattle.

9. Giants Brandon Scherff, OT/OG, Iowa

Tough to pass on Cooper. But they’ve now addressed all their needs in free agency except O-line. Wonder why.

10. Rams Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama

The O-line’s a mess, so OT Andrus Peat could be in play. But you can’t pass on a playmaker with as much ability as Cooper.
