Egypt irate as porn star bares all at pyramids
A PHOTO of an American porn star revealing her lady lumps on a camel’s humps — in front of the pyramids of Giza— has Egyptian officials all hot and bothered.
Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities is investigating a saucy pic posted on Carmen De Luz’s Instagram account showing her riding a camel with her bare tush exposed, the pyramids rising in the background.
The image prompted concerns that De Luz shot a porno film at the 4,500-year-old archaeological site.
Government officials said Friday that De Luz’s photos showed no cars or tourists in the background, “meaning that De Luz stayed in the area past permitted hours,” according to a statement, Ahram Online reported.
The actress released a statement in Arabic on Twitter, saying she visited the site as a tourist and shot only photos of her fully clothed.
“I did not shoot a porno in Egypt for the sacredness of its people,” she said, according to the Egyptian news site.
“Only went to visit because I love Egypt.”
The bawdy brouhaha broke out at a time of already heightened concerns about the sanctity of the site.
In March, tourists filmed explicit videos showing a woman exposing her breasts and performing a sex act on the cameraman, which enraged Egyptian authorities, who said such activities are illegal.
In the wake of the incident, conservative and religious groups urged Egyptian authorities to restrict tourists’ access to the pyramids.
