B’klyn pol sorry for slap at Jews
BROOKLYN Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte apologized Monday for making derogatory remarks about the city’s Jewish community in a radio interview.
The first-term Democrat apologized “to anyone who was offended by my tone and the poor choice of words I used” Saturday.
In the interview, Bichotte repeatedly called the Jewish community “you guys” as she defended her opposition to an education tax credit many Orthodox groups favor. She also said she was being singled out because she’s black, while her Jewish predecessor faced less criticism.
