ISIS fan in N.J. is latest busted

Which assassin am I, or am I all of them?

THE FBI arrested a 21-yearold New Jersey man Thursday who was allegedly recruited to join ISIS by a college student from Queens nabbed earlier this week on terrorism charges.

Samuel Rahamin Topaz allegedly conspired with other wannabe jihadists to travel overseas, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court by the FBI.

He was allegedly encouraged to join ISIS by Munther Omar Saleh, 20, a student at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, who is charged with plotting to build a pressure cooker bomb like the one used in the Boston Marathon terrorist attacks.

“Which assassin am I, or am I all of them?” Topaz wrote on his Facebook page in an eerie message posted below a group of selfies in which he’s wearing head and face coverings.

Topaz exchanged hundreds of emails and text messages with Saleh in which they discussed their evil plans, according to a criminal complaint.

The Fort Lee man, a U.S. citizen, is the fourth suspect arrested in the bistate terror cell. Authorities arrested an unidentified man early Saturday along with Saleh in Queens, and on Wednesday nabbed Fareed Mumuni in Staten Island.

“Providing fighters and resources to a terrorist organization like ISIL is a threat to our country and its citizens,” said New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman, using another acronym for the Islamic State.

An unidentified buddy of Topaz’s flew to Jordan in May.

“I’m saving my money for it bro trust me,” Topaz texted the co-conspirator.

Saleh, identified in the complaint as “co-conspirator 2,” added: “My trip is looking months away.”

The pair hoped to reunite with their friend in Turkey in the near future.

But Saleh’s complaint, which was unsealed this week in Brooklyn Federal Court, also states that he had a contingency plan to carry out a bombing or attack law enforcement officers if his overseas trip did not pan out.

Saleh was surfing images of New York City landmarks and tourist attractions on the Internet, authorities said.

Topaz came on the feds’ radar last January when an unidentified informant reported to the FBI that Topaz’s friends in New Jersey “might convince him to travel overseas and do something stupid,” the complaint states.

Topaz and Saleh prayed together in the informant’s house and the informant — so disturbed by his influence — took away Topaz’s passport. The pair also watched ISIS videos together depicting beheadings by the barbaric group.
