‘Sharknado’ scribe hopes B’way bites

COULD A SHARKNADO be in the forecast for Broadway?

The evil genius behind the “Sharknado” franchise tells Confidenti@l that his fishy idea was born to celebrated in song. “I think it would be hilarious to do ‘Sharknado: The Musical,’ ” screenwriter Thunder Levin told Confidenti@l. “I’ve been proposing that since the first one became a hit on the first night. They could get some Broadway musical guys to write the songs and the music, but you’ve got to let me write the script. We could call it “Sharknado: The Great White Way.”

According to Levin (l.), whose “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!” airs on the Syfy channel on July 22, “Sharknado 2: The Second One” was nearly influenced by his Broadway ambitions.

“When we were first throwing around the titles for the second one, one of the ones I suggested was ‘Sharknado 2: Live on Broadway,’ because we knew it was going to be shot in New York,” he said. “So I could definitely see it as a musical.”

Levin’s ambitions don’t end with Broadway. He told us that in an ideal world, William Shatner and Harrison Ford would join him for a “Sharknado” movie. While he said there had been discussions with Shatner, Oscar nominee Ford would be a long shot.

“I don’t think anyone has actually contacted Harrison Ford,” he said. “Because what would be the odds?”
