WITH HER enraged, blade-wielding ex-boyfriend threatening to slash anyone who got in his way, an 18-year-old woman was abducted during a frantic scene on a Queens street Saturday morning, police and witnesses said.

Michelle Jimenez was finally let go by her ex, Jonathan Coronel, after nine hours, when he dropped her five blocks from her Elmhurst home early Saturday night, near where he had seized her .

Coronel, 21, was arrested nearby hours later after stabbing himself. As he was being treated early Sunday morning at Elmhurst Hospital, just how the police found him was still unclear.

The ordeal began when his terrified ex ran into a shoe store near the corner of 81st St. and Northern Blvd., desperately trying to escape his clutches in a harrowing scene that played out around 10:30 a.m.

Would-be heroes were stopped cold by Coronel’s knife and menacing threats.

“He pointed a knife at me ... at my face,” said Kalandrov Mosshilov, 57, a cobbler at the Zapatero Shoe Repair on 81st St. near 37th Ave. in Elmhurst, down the block from where the victim lives.

When Jimenez left her home and saw her former fiancé — whom she had a restraining order against, according to neighbors — she bolted into the shoe shop to avoid him, said witnesses.

Mosshilov and another man stepped forward to help, but her unhinged ex burst in brandishing a knife.

“A guy followed her into the store,” said Anada Krishna, who lives above the shop. “I hear the guy tell her, ‘Give me my money! Give memymoney!’ ”

The ex grabbed the young woman and, still flashing his knife, pulled her out of the store toward a waiting vehicle, witnesses said. “She was panicked,” Krishna said.

“He shoved the girl into a white car parked across the street and he left. ”

The vehicle — possibly a Hyundai Crossover — sped east on Northern Blvd. with Jimenez crammed into the back seat, police said.

The couple were once engaged but recently split, according to neighbors.

“He’s probably obsessed,” said a superintendent of a nearby building who identified himself as Carlos. “Only an obsessed person would react like this.”

Neighbors were rattled by the kidnapping.

“This is somebody’s daughter, somebody’s sister, and it’s too close to home,” said Sonny Masiano, 29.
