Savagely beaten on train — for what his WIFE did

CHIVALRY spared the woman, leaving her husband to take a beatdown.

An infuriated straphanger restrained himself when a foulmouthed woman showered him with obscenities and saliva aboard a subway train in the Bronx. Clearly reluctant to strike the woman, he took it out on her spouse.

“I won’t hit a b---h,” the enraged straphanger shouted as he stood with both fists raised in a boxing stance. “But I will f--k your (man) up.” And so he did. The straphanger ignored his taunting tormentor before snapping on her husband, landing at least a dozen blows and one solid kick to the head during a brutal 21-second pummeling captured on two videos.

The attacker, dressed like a construction worker, went off when the woman’s spewing gave way to spitting. She twice spat in his direction on the Wednesday afternoon train, taking the dispute to a higher level.

“F--k the b---h. He talk too much,” the woman squawked before the first punch was thrown aboard the northbound No. 5 train. “B---hes talk. He’s a b---h!”

The target of her barbs then unloaded on the loudmouth lady’s 38-year-old hubby, who found himself lying defenseless on the floor.

He endured a rapid-fire series of Mike Tyson-esque left and right hooks to the body before the other man finally backed off.

The victim escaped with bruising and swelling of the face, and filed a formal assault complaint, cops said.

The woman whose attitude ignited the mass transit meltdown refused to comment when contacted Thursday — hanging up on one Daily News reporter, and slamming her apartment door on another.

“I don’t know!” she shouted before slamming the phone down.

The incident apparently began with an argument over a seat on the fairly crowded train, with the heavyset woman trying to squeeze into a spot next to the construction worker.

The video starts with her getting right in the man’s face, putting her hands on his shoulder and taking his picture with her phone.

She then stands in the subway doors, keeping the train stuck in the Jackson Ave. station. The man complained that she was making him late for work.

“Shut your mouth, b---h!” she screamed at him.

Another angry passenger asks the woman to get off the train as they idle on the tracks.

“Someone’s gonna have to give me my $2.75,” the passenger finally snaps, referring to the cost of a single ride on the train.

As the situation escalated, the woman’s husband tried helplessly to calm the situation.

“Yo, chill, man,” he said as no one paid any attention.

The car filled with screams as the angry man finally charged the husband, who never managed to return a single punch during the one-sided brawl.

The victim and the couple exited the train at the Prospect Ave. station, and no arrest was made as of late Thursday.
