Kelly: Bam cuts are ‘vindictive’
PRESIDENT OBAMA’S cuts to New York’s anti-terror funding smack of revenge, former Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Sunday.
“It appears to me that there’s a certain amount of vindictiveness on the part of Washington aimed at Sen. Chuck Sc hum er ,” Kelly said on the John Catsimatidis AM 970 radio show.
The Obama administration moved in its budget to cut nearly $300 million from the Urban Area Security Initiative — and when Schumer objected, White House press secretary Josh Earnest attacked him, saying he had lost credibility on national security issues because he opposed the Iran nuclear deal. “Apparently they remember very well the fact that Sen. Schumer did not support their Iranian deal,” said Kelly (photo).
