Ex-con dissed, so he killed: DA
A 66-YEAR-OLD ex-con stabbed a younger man to death because he felt disrespected, a Brooklyn prosecutor said Monday.
“Fight me like a man. I’m a man. I’m a Marine,” Juan Ramos shouted at Giovanni Rodriguez, 22, according to Assistant District Attorney Ernest Chin in opening statements for the murder trial in Brooklyn Supreme Court.
It was Sept. 29, 2013, in Sunset Park when Ramos allegedly got into Rodriguez’s face for saying something disrespectful about him and his wife the night before.
“Giovanni Rodriguez told him, ‘Go away, you’re old enough to be my father,’ ” said Chin.
The taunting continued, and Rodriguez punched the older man in the face. Ramos then allegedly used a knife to repeatedly stab and slice the younger man.
