Imette honored

IN THE decade since the murder of Imette St. Guillen, a John Jay College student, the recipients of her namesake scholarship have made a difference. A reception at the college on Tuesday honored St. Guillen, who was 24, by celebrating the recipients of the annual scholarship established by the college, the Daily News and the Association for a Better New York.

“One of the things about the Daily News that’s quite unique is we really are able to get New Yorkers to rally around something,” said The News CEO William Holiber.
