Qns. Assemblywoman Barbara Clark, 76, dies

ALBANY — Assemblywoman Barbara Clark, a Queens Democrat who served in Albany for nearly three decades, died Mond day night, her office said.

“She was a legend in Q Queens,” Gov. Cuomo s said. “She was a great publ lic servant for many, many y years and she is going to beb missed.”i d”

Born a coal miner’s daughter in West Virginia, Clark later moved to Queens and was a school safety officer. She was elected to the Assembly in 1986 representing Queens Village, Cambria Heights and other neighborhoods.
