BOWIE LIVES!

The spirit of David Bowie (above) showed up at Carnegie Hall on Monday night. At the finale of the 26th annual Tibet House Benefit Concert, the Starman’s friend and collaborator Iggy Pop ruffled the concert hall’s security with an electric performance of Bowie’s “The Jean Genie.” Used to classical concertos, the ushers and uniformed guards struggled to prevent the crowd from getting out of their seats and rushing to the front of the storied stage. They fought off the first handful, but seemed to give up as a deluge began.
