Gulp! Rescue from on high

- Kerry Burke and Thomas Tracy

TWO WORKERS were left stuck on the facing of a Midtown skyscraper 62 stories aboveground Tuesday when their motorized scaffold quit on them, cops said.

The two employees were replacing glass windows in the building on Broadway near 54th St., which houses two hotels, when their scaffolding stopped working.

First responders secured the two men with ropes and cut through the glass to bring them in.

“They were up there for an hour and a half,” FDNY Deputy Chief Joseph Ferrante said. “They were grateful (to get inside).”

An electrical problem caused the machine to stall, officials said.

Both men refused medical attention.
