Centenary College

-

Centenary College has a rich history spanning 150 years. Our safe, suburban campus sits on 40 beautiful acres in historic Hackettstown, N.J., with our 65-acre equestrian center, home to over 100 experienced show horses and state-ofthe-art riding and classroom facilities, just 11 miles away. We are committed to our students, and our collaborative approach to learning has helped us become one of America’s most trusted private colleges. Centenary offers exciting academic majors, winning NCAA Division III sport programs and a wide range of campus activities.

Centenary believes a college education is an investment in your future. Many families assume a private education is simply out of reach for them financially. Not at Centenary. We make a private, personal education affordable. In fact, students receive an average of $22,000 per year in grants and academic scholarships.

We help each family see what the next four years will look like. This way, one can easily realize the value not just for the first year, but over the course of four years.

Centenary offers first-time and transfer students a wide range of academic programs. We boast 49 career-focused programs of study including highly innovative programs like social media marketing, fashion, criminal justice and pre-veterinary.

The student-faculty ratio at Centenary College is 17:1, and the majority of our classes have fewer than 20 students. Students are more than just a number here; they are a member of a small, devoted community of learners.

Our dedicated faculty and staff make it their responsibility to help each and every student get the most out of their Centenary experience. Our intimate class sizes allow for professors to connect students to a wide variety of subjects that relate directly to their personal interests.

Centenary faculty members include Fulbright Scholars and other nationally-recognized academicians, but they are also practitioners who apply their specialized knowledge in fascinating and productive ways.

Our Career Development Center matches students with internships that will prepare them for their dream careers. The career staff helps students with everything from mock interviews to graduate school applications to LinkedIn account creation and resume drafting. In fact, 82% of our graduates found employment within nine months of graduating.

College isn't just about academics; it's about having a great time, expanding your horizons and developing meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. Our goal is to encourage an appreciation and participation in service learning, and allow students to design and create programs and activities on campus to make their college experience their own. There are a number of fun clubs to choose from ranging from intramurals to fraternities and sororities to honor societies to service-based groups. One thing is for sure, there’s never a dull moment at Centenary.

Centenary College teams participate in 14 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. Men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, equestrian, golf, lacrosse, soccer and wrestling; while women's sports include basketball, cross country, equestrian, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball.

Centenary is one of the most well-known equestrian colleges in the country. We have one of the top, nationally ranked equestrian riding teams in the United States. Students enrolled in the college's equine programs may participate in competitions through intercollegiate organizations such as the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, the Intercollegiate Dressage Association or with the Hunter/Jumper's Club.

We encourage visits to campus. For those who cannot make it to campus in person, we offer a virtual tour here: www.centenary college.edu /campustour. It is never too early to get a jumpstart on the future. To learn more, visit us online at centenarycollege. edu or call us at 1-800-236-8679.
