FRI., APRIL 29- SUN., MAY 1 ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE SUSPENDED FRIDAY AND SATURDAY The Five Boro Bike Tour takes over the city this Sunday! Numerous streets will close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lower Manhattan sections will close early in the day and the borough segments will close towards the end of the tour.

Major closures include: Sixth Ave. from Franklin St. to 59th St., the southbound Harlem River Drive/ FDR Drive between the Third Avenue Bridge and 63rd St., the Manhattanb­ound lanes on the upper level of the Queensboro Bridge, the Brooklynbo­und lanes on the Pulaski Bridge, the BQE between the Columbia St. entrance and the Belt Parkway, as well as the Belt Parkway down to the 4th Ave. exit.

The southbound Harlem River Drive and FDR Drive will close between the Third Avenue Bridge and E 116th St. 8 a.m. to noon. At the same time, the ramp to the RFK Bridge from the southbound FDR will close.

Northbound traffic on the FDR/HDR will not be affected. The Manhattanb­ound lanes of the Third Avenue Bridge and the Bronx-bound lanes of the Madison Avenue Bridge will also close.

On the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, the Staten Island-bound lower level will close midnight Saturday night to 6 p.m. Sunday. On the Brooklyn-bound lower level, one lane will close 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Bay Street exit will close 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The BQE approach will close 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The 92nd St. entrance ramp to the Staten Island-bound lower level will close midnight Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday. The upper level will remain open in both directions.

In the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, traffic exiting in Brooklyn will be rerouted to Hamilton Ave. 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The Trinity Pl. exit in Manhattan will close 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mayday, it’s May Day on Sunday! One workers’ rights group will gather in Union Square noon and march 3 p.m. via 14th St. to Second Ave. to Foley Square for a rally.

The Chelsea Visiting Neighbors Festival will close Eighth Ave. between 14th and 23rd Sts. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The 28th Annual Broadway Spring Festival will close the northbound lanes of Broadway between 86th and 93rd Sts. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Gridlock Sam is published Friday and Sunday.
