‘Ghostbuster’ Jones dazzles as designer keeps it real

- BY JEANETTE SETTEMBRE When no one else would design a dress for Leslie Jones, Christian Siriano (left) made the outfit (above) that was a smash.

“GHOSTBUSTERS” star Leslie Jones gave designers who wouldn’t dress her the cold shoulder — and it looked awesome on her.

The 48-year-old actress stunned a in a red, off-the-shoulder gown by Christian Siriano at the “Ghostbusters” premiere Saturday following dress drama from designers she said refused to dress her for her big night.

“You can look good. Don’t let nobody tell you you can’t look good because of your size,” the “Saturday Night Live” comic told “Entertainment Tonight” in Los Angeles.

“It takes a real designer to design for a real woman,” she added.

Siriano came to Jones’ rescue on social media tweeting that he’d gladly create her a worthy gown.

“I went in and told them what I wanted and we just made it,” said Jones, of the collaboration with the “Project Runway” designer.

“I knew I wanted to look sexy,” said Jones, who wowed in a highslit dress paired with a glitzy statement necklace, blue eye shadow and elegant, rhinestone studded sandals.

Jones, who co-stars in the “Ghostbusters” reboot alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, tweeted about her fashion dilemma a few weeks ago.

“It’s funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything,” she posted on Twitter.

Shortly after agreeing to dress Jones, Siriano called for action among designers who discriminate against women with curves.

“It shouldn’t be exceptional to work with brilliant people just because they’re not sample size. Congrats aren’t in order, a change is,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Siriano had his own fairy tale moment, saying “I do” to longtime boyfriend Brad Walsh on the same day in Danbury, Conn. The star-studded guest list included Alicia Silverstone, Christina Hendricks and Danielle Brooks.
