Teacher: I’m a kid perv

A TWISTED Bronx High School of Science teacher who paid teenage boys for nude photos pleaded guilty Friday to paying for perverse photographs.

Jon Cruz, 33, is expected to get between 11 and 14 years in prison for receiving child pornography when he’s sentenced in January in Manhattan Federal Court.

In a packed courtroom of supporters — including babyfaced former students — the now-former social studies instructor and debate coach admitted to the vile crime. “Some of these communications displayed sexually explicit images of his genitals,” Cruz conceded, referring to one young victim.

Cruz (photo) faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 25 years for the offense. Judge Kevin Castel can give him more or less time than what he worked out with the U.S. attorney’s office.

Prosecutors say Cruz, who taught at the prestigious school since 2006, sought out boys on social media and on the KIK chat app who would accept money in exchange for lewd photos of themselves.

He even put himself out to be younger, using a photo of one of his former students as a Facebook profile image. Investigators recovered 40 naked pictures of underage victims on Cruz’s home computer.

Cruz is slated to be sentenced on Jan. 27. His $1 million bail bond was revoked and he was taken into custody after admitting his guilt.

“I just want to say to my family and friends and former students who are here that I am very very sorry,” he said before he was led out of the courtroom.
