AN 82-YEAR-OLD woman was found beaten to death and bound to a chair in her East Village apartment Friday – and police suspect her great-grandson killed her.

Police found Ella-Nae Biaz, 82, bludgeoned to death inside the Lillian Wald Houses (below) on E. Fourth St. off the FDR Drive at about 5:30 p.m. She’d been bound to a chair with duct tape around wrists and ankles, police said.

The suspect’s 39-year-old mother was also tied up by her wrists and ankles, but she managed to free herself and call 911, cops said.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The great-grandson took off in a car and was taken into custody Friday night just over the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, cops said.

Detectives were questioning him at the 9th Precinct stationhouse in the East Village Friday night. Charges were pending.

The great-grandson’s name was not released, but a neighbor said the man would regularly hit up Biaz for cash after her Social Security checks arrived on the first day of the month.

“Every month when she would get her Social Security check he would pressure her for money,” said Jorge Guzman, 49. “Every time the check comes, the first, I would hear the arguments,” the neighbor said. “I would hear him come outside ranting and raving. I didn’t think he would do that.”
