German envoy untouchable in abuse complaint

- Thomas Tracy With John Annese

THE NYPD is investigating a domestic violence allegation made against an attache to New York’s German Consulate — a man who can’t be charged with a crime because he has full diplomatic immunity, police sources said Wednesday.

It’s not the first time the wife of Joachim Haubrichs, 55, has alleged abuse, sources said. Officials have been trying to boot him out of the country, but police cannot arrest or detain him, sources said.

Henna Johnson, 35, told cops Haubrichs punched her in the face during a heated argument inside their Upper East Side apartment Tuesday night, sources said.

Detectives investigated the claim — and learned that he had also allegedly assaulted his wife in December 2015 — but no arrests could be made because of his diplomatic status.

Calls for comment Wednesday to the German Consulate were not returned.
