BLAZ E-NNOYING

Ticked off progressives & top Clinton advisers Why such a flap over my flying?

- Jennifer Fermino

Her campaign manager Robby Mook called him a “terrorist” after seeing his public statements in support of her primary rival Sen. Bernie Sanders, an apparent joke that he was holding them hostage before giving an endorsement.

“Told you!” Clinton’s spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri wrote in response to Mook.

De Blasio, when asked about the behind-his-back snickering, has said he isn’t upset because he knows campaigns are stressful.

Meanwhile, in another email leaked on Wednesday, de Blasio in September 2015 reached out to the Clinton team and offered to move the presidential forum he was planning in Iowa to another day if Clinton had a conflict.

“As I mentioned to Robby (Mook), we ideally want to see if this is even possible for you guys before responding. If there’s any way to get a tentative read from you by Monday morning, that would be very helpful,” he wrote.

Ultimately it didn’t matter. The forum was nixed because none of the leading White House contenders — including Clinton — agreed to go. DON’T EVEN try to clip his wings. Mayor de Blasio on Wednesday staunchly defended his rush-hour trip by helicopter from Brooklyn to Queens last Friday night, saying he’s entitled by law to fly the friendly skies when his NYPD detail sees fit. But Hizzoner, whose departure from Prospect Park raised eyebrows, refused to say what he was doing in Brooklyn that warranted the need for him to take the ultra-fast route to make his 6:30 p.m. event in Long Island City. “I really don’t understand what this is all about,” he said in his first question-andanswer with reporters since the trip. The Conflict of Interest Board has previously ruled that a mayor can take the helicopter when necessary, he said.
