- Reuven Blau

THE HEDGE FUND that holds a $20 million investment from the city’s correction officers union has filed for bankruptcy protection.

Platinum Partners is at the center of a federal probe into allegations of municipal corruption, which forced longtime union boss Norman Seabrook to step down.

Seabrook, 56, has been accused of taking thousands in kickbacks from a Platinum Partners honcho. Seabrook’s co-defendant Murray Huberfeld is manager of the hedge fund.
