Two train tragedies

A MAN WHO jumped in front of an oncoming train in lower Manhattan has died of his injuries, officials said Wednesday.

Alex Espinal, 31, of the Bronx, died at Bellevue Hospital more than 12 hours after he was run over by a northbound A train pulling into the Fulton St./Broadway station at about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Also, on Wednesday, a 27-yearold woman was fatally struck by a Brooklyn-bound L train as it entered the Union Square station just before 4 p.m. Witnesses saw her jump into the train’s path, cops said.
