The documents released by the King County Sheriff's Office Wednesday shed new light on the Josh Brown domestic violence allegations.

A: Josh Brown's ex-wife feared the NFL and the Giants would “vilify her in the media” if she pursued criminal charges. “Molly was not sure that she could deal with that pressure, or the media coming after her and her children,” the report said. “Molly expressed concerns about what all of this would do to Josh financially, and for her ability to take care of her three children.”

A: According to a memo prosecutors sent to the sheriff's office Thursday, charges were not filed because Molly Brown remains reluctant to provide incriminating testimony against her former husband. “The investigation was left open for over a year in the Sheriff's Office as a precaution in case Ms. Brown later expressed a renewed support for criminal prosecution,” the memo said. “Now it is declined.”

A: Here's what one investigator wrote in an incident report: “During my interview with Molly, she appeared to be genuinely scared of her husband Joshua. She seemed very embarrassed to tell me the details of her husband's history of abusing her…I believe that Joshua assaulted Molly.”

A: From the report: “Molly stated that Joshua had been physically violent on more than 20 different instances over the past several years.”
