SUN., OCT. 23 - SAT., OCT. 29 ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE SUSPENDED MONDAY AND TUESDAY

They’ll be dancing in the streets on Monday night but not to the Music of Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. Monday evening is Simchas Torah when Jews all over joyously celebrate their Torahs by taking them out into the streets.

Watch for festivities from Borough Park to Williamsburg to Crown Heights and even Kane St. in Cobble Hill!

Special Alert! On Sunday bikes take over Manhattan and the Bronx while football fans try to escape from NYC en route to the Meadowlands. Jets-Ravens game at 1 p.m. means drivers hitting the roads at 11 a.m. to noon in Manhattan just as bike riders hit the FDR and West Side Highway. My advice — don’t drive through Manhattan, circumvent it by taking the Cross-Bronx or Deegan to the GW Bridge. Better yet take NJ Transit to Secaucus and the Meadowlands Line from there to the stadium. Even if you’re not going to the game travel in Manhattan and the Bronx will be affected by the street interruptions.

The Bike MS route, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, heads down West St. from 54th St. causing rolling closures.

They head south to Canal affecting the entrance to the Holland Tunnel. The bikers will continue through the Battery Park Underpass, and up the FDR, all the way around Manhattan as they head back to 54th St along the West Side Highway.

Tour de Bronx bikers will gather 8 a.m. today at Harris Field on Bedford Park Blvd. West between Paul and Goulden Aves. Rolling closures will shut down streets until 5 p.m., including: E. 161st St., Morris Ave., Prospect Ave., Boston Rd., Gun Hill Rd., and Eastchester Ave., affecting Mott Haven, Clason Point, Pelham Bay Park, Fort Schuyler, City Island, Woodlawn and Riverdale.

Also on the roster, the Nets and Knicks play their first home-games of the regular season. The Nets will face the Pacers 7:30 p.m. Friday at Barclays, and the Knicks will take on the Grizzlies 7:30 p.m. Saturday the Garden.

The Rangers play the Coyotes 7 p.m. this evening and the Bruins 8 p.m. Wednesday at MSG. The Islanders will play the Wild 6 p.m. this evening and the Canadiens 7 p.m. Wednesday at Barclays Center.

Sia will perform 7 p.m. Tuesday at Barclays; Carrie Underwood will take on the big city 7 p.m. Tuesday at MSG, and Billy Joel will bring in the crowds 8 p.m. Friday.
