Dprescription for a healthy life – turn off his show and go outside. While somewhat promoting his new Hulu program “Chance,” one of the network’s biggest projects to date, seemed confused by the notion of “streaming” and “binge watching” television programming and snarkily suggested that kids go outside and exercise instead. “My advice to children is: ‘Get outside, jump rope, play a sport, and don’t watch television,” he told us at the “Chance” premiere in Los Angeles. “There’s far too much of it. “But anyway, I’m in it.” He’s definitely “in it.” In addition to having been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, the 57-year-old Brit is an executive producer on “Chance,” which launched on Hulu last week.

“I myself am absolutely baffled by how much television there is now, how much drama there is,” Laurie said. “It seems like there are almost more fictional representations of life than actual life.”

For Laurie, TV is best watched the old-fashioned way.

“The whole shift in the way people watch is baffling to me,” he said. “I don’t really understand the way things are changing. I know I’m sounding like an old fogey, but do you know why that is? Because, I am an old fogey.”

Laurie admitted that he worried playing another doctor on a TV show might be an old idea too, but that passed.

“To begin with, I did think I can’t do this, because it’s medical, but the character, the role, the story, the whole tone of it is so different that I’d forgotten about that within a couple of pages and I was obsessed with the story,” he said. “I find it a fascinating world and I just hope a few people will be drawn to it as I was, but who knows?” “Harry Potter” star dug into a steak and a meaty script at Old Steakhouse on Wednesday. “He pulled out a script as thick as the slabs of beef served at the meatery,” said one fan on the scene. “He was so immersed in the script that he was oblivious to selfie-seekers being kept away by restaurant staffers.” Fiennes ordered the 19 oz. filet mignon, though our spywitness couldn’t see what meaty part Lord Voldemort was reading.
