Hero vs. hatred
Puncher at large
POLICE ARE looking for a man who punched a bystander for filming him as he argued with another straphanger on board a train in Queens. Cops released the cellphone video the victim took Wednesday in hopes the public would recognize the suspect. The brawler was quarreling on a No. 7 train bound for Flushing-Main St. when he noticed a 45-year-old man filming him with a phone around 10 p.m. on Dec. 22. Enraged, he rushed the filmer and walloped him, police said. The video taken from the victim’s phone shows the man dashing up the middle of the car and ends just before the punch is thrown. The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered a bruised head and right arm, officials said. The suspect is described as black, between 18 and 20, 6 feet tall with a medium build and black hair. He was wearing a gray hoodie and a long white jacket. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577 TIPS.
