A 35-YEAR-OLD woman was seriously injured after she jumped in front of a subway train at the height of the Wednesday morning rush hour, officials said.

A downtown No. 1 train hit the woman at the W. 96th St. station just before 8 a.m.

Paramedics rushed her to St. Luke’s Hospital in serious condition, officials said.

Officials shut down service on the 1 line in both directions between 96th St. and 137th St. for about 20 minutes.
