PLANE SCARY, INDY!

Ford buzzes jet in landing

- BY KATE FELDMAN

HARRISON FORD is still flying aircraft like he’s in the Millennium Falcon on the set of “Star Wars.”

The big screen’s Han Solo missed a runway at John Wayne International Airport in Orange County, Calif., on Monday and buzzed a fully loaded jet approaching takeoff as he landed on a taxiway, according to a report.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to the Daily News that it’s investigating the landing of a single-engine Aviat Husky on a taxiway Monday afternoon, but the agency would not confirm that the “Indiana Jones” star was involved, according to NBC News.

Despite Ford’s Hollywood landing, the plane he flew over — an American Airlines Boeing 737 carrying 110 passengers and six crew members en route to Dallas-Fort worth — was was able to depart safely.

The FAA told The News that the pilot of the single-engine plane had correctly read back instructions from air-traffic controllers before the mishap.

Ford, who crash-landed a plane in “Six Days, Seven Nights,” was heard on a recording asking, “Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?” according to NBC.

The 74-year-old actor, who has been flying in real life for decades, has found himself in a number of crashes.

In March 2015, he reported engine failure while piloting his vintage World War II plane over Los Angeles and was forced to crash-land on a Santa Monica golf course. He broke his pelvis and ankle in the accident.

In 1999, he crashed his helicopter during training in Santa Clarita, Calif.

The following year, he scraped his six-seat Beechcraft Bonanza along the runway during an emergency landing at Lincoln Municipal Airport in Nebraska.

Ford said he began learning to fly in the 1960s, but couldn’t afford lessons until his acting career took off.

“I enjoy the pure freedom and the beauty of the third dimension when you fly,” he told Downwind magazine in 2009. “Getting in the sky is a rare experience.”

Ford’s rep declined to comment on Monday’s incident.
