A LIVERY cab driver slammed into a 65-year-old man in a crosswalk just steps from the victim’s job at a Brooklyn synagogue early Tuesday, leaving him clinging to life.

Driving a Ford Crown Victoria, Paul Graden, 79, plowed into Ira Kleigman in the crosswalk on Nostrand Ave. at Quentin Road in Marine Park at about 6 a.m., according to cops.

Kleigman was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

“He comes every morning to open the doors to the synagogue,” said Rabbi Levi Hendel of Chabad of Marine Park, where Kleigman works as a caretaker. “He is a very good guy.”

Graden, who stayed at the scene, was released with a desk appearance ticket for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care, police said.
