Jewish groups give King award to NY1’s Wills
BIG THINGS are happening for veteran NY1 anchor Cheryl Wills.
The writer and reporter was honored with the Martin Luther King Jr. Award at the Israeli Consulate on Thursday night.
Just a day earlier, Wills revealed that she will be hosting a new show called “In Focus with Cheryl Wills” starting Sunday.
Wills’ achievements are beyond what her ancestors ever could have dreamed.
“I am the great-great-greatgranddaughter of a slave who fought for the Union in the Civil War,” Wills told the Daily News after receiving her award from the Jewish Community Relations Council in New York and Jewish National Fund.
