Super Bowl chump! Floyd to jail for DUI

New England Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd has pleaded guilty to second offense extreme drunken driving and been sentenced to 24 days in jail.

The former Arizona Cardinals player entered the plea in Scottsdale City Court on Thursday.

He also was sentenced to 96 days home confinemen­t and will be required to wear GPS and alcohol monitoring devices during that time. Floyd was ordered to undergo alcohol counseling and pay a $5,000 fine.

Floyd was arrested Dec. 12 after police found him unresponsi­ve at the wheel of his running car.

FALCS HIRE FLOOD

The Atlanta Falcons have finalized their revamped coaching staff with seven new hires, including former Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood and Charlie Weis Jr., the son of the long-time coach. Flood will be the assistant offensive line coach.

NBA WARNS TEXAS

The NBA has warned that Texas could be overlooked for future events because of a proposed “bathroom bill” targeting transgende­r people.

The Texas legislatio­n is similar to a North Carolina law that prompted the league to move the All-Star Game out of that state.

VEGAS GETS HOT

Rain and high wind finally hit Friday at the Genesis Open and wiped out play before all but 24 players completed the second round.

Jhonattan Vegas was at 7-under par through 14 holes. He was tied with Sam Saunders, who did not have to hit a shot on Friday. Neither did Dustin Johnson, who needs a victory to have a chance at reaching No. 1 in the world. Johnson was 5 under and also did not tee off.

EX-JET STACY RETIRES

Former Jets running back Zac Stacy announced that he has retired from playing football after three seasons in the pros. Stacy played in just eight games for Gang Green and saw his 2015 season — and ultimately, his career — end when he injured his ankle while returning a kickoff.

IONA TOPS MARIST

Schadrac Casimir made four 3-pointers and scored 27 points and Iona rallied to beat host Marist 95-88 and climb into a second-place tie in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
