Hunter Biden blew cash on prosties, says ex
FORMER Vice President Joe Biden’s daughter-in-law accused her husband, Hunter Biden — who is now in a relationship with his late brother’s widow — of using drugs and visiting hookers in divorce papers filed last year.
The Biden family confirmed Wednesday that Hunter Biden, whose older brother Beau died in May 2015 at 46 after a prolonged battle with brain cancer, had found comfort with Beau’s widow Hallie after the death.
Hunter Biden’s new relationship comes amid his divorce from wife Kathleen, who has three children with the 47-year-old and filed to end the marriage last December, citing irreconcilable differences.
Kathleen Biden, who lists her job as “homemaker,” asked her investment manager husband to leave on the morning of July 5, 2015 — a little more than a month after Beau’s death, the documents show.
Her filings in a Washington, D.C., court said she made him leave “due to his conduct the night before,” which included actions for which she and her husband had previously agreed would result in him leaving.
She did not elaborate on what the conduct was — but said that it “creates situations that are unsafe or traumatic for the parties’ children.”
Kathleen Biden added that she and her husband separated permanently in October 2015.
She said in another batch of court papers filed last month that a judge should stop her husband from “extravagantly” spending their money.
Hunter allegedly blew $122,000 over the course of two months, according to court papers.
As a result, she said, he used to pay her and the kids $17,000 a month, but had to reduce it to just $1,700, the papers show.
Kathleen Biden, 48, said that she was seeking the divorce, in part, because he was unfaithful and used drugs.
It remains unclear when Hunter Biden began a romantic relationship with his brother’s widow, Hallie.
“Mr. Biden has created financial concerns for the family by spending extravagantly on his own interests (including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations), while leaving the family with no funds to pay legitimate bills,” the filing reads.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer Sarah Mancinelli said Thursday that “Hunter and Kathleen have been separated for some time and are in the process of finalizing a divorce. Hunter loves and admires Kathleen as a person, a mother and a friend. He hopes their privacy can be respected at this time.”
Hunter Biden was previously discharged from the Navy Reserves in 2014 after testing positive for cocaine, according to The Wall Street Journal.
His name surfaced in a 2015 leak of users of Ashley Madison, an infidelity website — though he denied the account was his.
Two of the couple’s children are adults, though Kathleen Biden is asking for sole custody of their 16-year-old.
